Meet Scotty: This energetic neutered male 1-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund Mix is very smart and very affectionate. Scotty likes to play with other dogs and toys, both at the same time is even better. Scotty has acclimatized to his foster home very quickly, learning to go out with the other dogs, how to let his human know when he needs to go out and that stealing a shoe gets you attention, although not the kind he was looking for.

Scotty will alert when someone is at the door, and makes friends with newcomers pretty quickly. Scotty is house and crate trained, moderately vocal and LOVES attention and affection. As he's into stealing various available items, living with smaller kids is currently not safe for him.

Scotty is looking for a rather active home with another dog for him to play with, older kids would also work. He would prefer to have a human home more often than not, and may vocalize displeasure at being left alone, so we do not recommend him for apartment style living.
