Emily's Info...

Meet the Gilmore Girls! "We were found in an abandoned trailer in very unsafe conditions. Once rescued by our foster family, we started opening our eyes to see this beautiful world around May 12th, and boy are we HAPPY TO BE HERE!
Our Mom - who has already found her permanent place once we find ours - is a gorgeous Shepherd mix and very patient with us and our apparently very sharp teeth.
My nickname as a baby (before I had a real name) was Long Stripe, because the short little stripe you see on my snoot actually went all the way up my head! That’s how you can locate me in our infant pics. I’m obviously stunning. I’m well aware. I like to sit (or stand) stoically out in the middle of the yard or in a lawn chair so that my foster parents can admire my beauty. I can rough and tumble with the best of them, but I also love to be held like a baby and be rocked.

We do well with our 3 aunts (aka our foster parents’ adult dogs). One of them loves to play with us, one of them is shy but learning to play with us, and the oldest aunt is a bit of a fun police so she basically just tolerates us."

Emily is looking for a home with other dogs to help mentor her and play with her. Older kids may be OK  in a home with a large-breed experienced handler as these pups grow by leaps and bounds and don't know their size and strength yet.
Puppies thrive in homes where there is another large dog young enough to play, they have a private Yard (no apartments), where they are not left alone or in a crate all day (making housetraining virtually impossible). Patience, time and training is required when raising a puppy - their are cute for a reason (otherwise no one would put up with them)
***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
