Aubrey

Meet Aubrey: this gorgeous little Chihuahua mix girl is about 5 yrs old and came to us as a stray. She seems to have had a rough start in life as she is pretty timid and tends to cower when approached by someone she doesn't know of trust yet. Good thing she is treat motivated and pretty smart, she is figuring out that her foster family is trustworthy (and has really good treats) and putting a leash on means going outside and more treats! She is learning to play with the other Chihuahua in the house and intently watches her sass the other dogs in the house, so we think she will pick that up soon as well.

With her people, she loves to snuggle and hang out, she is pretty quiet and content to exist in the same space. She does not like being alone - especially if she can hear the other dogs/people but can't see them, she would like to be see what is going on, even if she is not yet trusting enough to join the dog party.

Aubrey is looking for a patient home with or without another small companion dog for her to hang out with, most importantly she would like someone home a lot. Aubrey is learning that leash walking is not scary or dangerous, she sleeps nicely in a wire crate and rides well in a car.

***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet, as not all dogs come to all Meet and Greets***
