Nine-year old Kira Cazenave couldn't think of anything she wanted more for
her birthday than to help the homeless animals in her community of Kingwood,
TX. So, instead of presents, her friends brought donations to her birthday
party. Kira and her family presented a check to Twyla's Friends on Saturday,
Feb. 10, 2001. Kira is pictured here with Budreaux, one of the dogs she and
her friends will be helping. Budreaux has a broken leg, buckshot in his
front legs, and a deep gash in his chest. He has had a tough first 6 months,
but thanks to people like Kira, Budreaux and others will continue to receive
the best vet care possible through Twyla's Friends.
